What Factors May Cause the Blockage of the Rotary Kiln?

Rotary kiln equipment is a common type of kiln in industrial kilns. It is widely used and operates relatively stably. However, due to improper use in use, sometimes it will bring some problems to the kiln, such as kiln blockage, many users do not know how to solve it. To solve this problem we need to first understand what the cause of the problem is.
1. The porcelain roller is polluted:
The pollution of the rotary kiln porcelain rollers is mainly manifested in the oil stains on the porcelain rollers, which form bumps of different sizes on the porcelain rollers. Due to the improper control of the glaze of the bricks, many glaze droplets stick to the bottom surface of the product, which causes the glaze droplets to soften and stick to the roller during high temperature calcination, resulting in different diameters of the rollers, so that the product is subject to certain resistance when running on the porcelain roller. The products cannot move forward normally, resulting in irregular and overlapping product arrangement. When the overlapping product exceeds the softening point of the porcelain rolls under high temperature loads, the porcelain rolls break, causing the kiln to block.
2. Neutral firing:
Kiln firing is continuous. If the bricks are unstable, the products in the kiln will form gaps on the covering layer of the porcelain rollers, resulting in unstable kiln pressure, large temperature fluctuations, easy deformation of products, and blockage of products.
3. The "swing" operation time of the green bricks in the kiln is too long:
The kiln control system adopts interlocking automatic control. When there is a power failure or mechanical equipment failure, the motion state of all the drums will automatically change to a swing state according to the power frequency, so that the product moves back and forth in the kiln, and the product is deformed due to the long calcination time, causing the rotary kiln to block.
4. Unreasonable firing temperature and firing atmosphere:
In the rotary kiln, the firing nozzles are divided into several groups in the preheating zone and the firing zone, which are controlled according to the upper and lower rows of the ceramic rolls, and the cooling zone is controlled by controlling the amount of cooling air. In the process of adjusting the firing temperature, if the temperature of the upper part of the porcelain roller is much higher than that of the lower part, the product will be dented and deformed; on the contrary, convex deformation will occur. The former is more likely to cause products to stick together or overlap before and after production, while the latter tends to embed between the rolls, breaking the rolls and causing blockages. If the cooling belt is not properly controlled, the product can be blown apart by the wind, and broken product can become lodged between the drums and can also cause blockages. In addition, if the atmosphere system is not adjusted properly, the product will deform, foam and accumulate during the firing process, causing the kiln to block.
5. The backing brick of the porcelain roller is loose:
Loose tiles and the convex deformation of the porcelain rollers will cause the rollers to not rotate in the same plane, resulting in product accumulation or insertion between the rollers, causing the kiln to block.
6. The bricks entering the kiln head are not neatly arranged:
The uneven arrangement of bricks at the kiln head will cause the product to collide with the kiln body, resulting in deformation or overlapping of the product, which will seriously block the kiln.
Through the summary of the above-mentioned reasons for the clogging of the rotary kiln, it is not difficult to find that most of the reasons are related to improper operation. Therefore, the operation should be carried out in strict accordance with the operation specifications, and at the same time, the time and temperature should be well controlled.
